Fusion Burn is like most traditional fat burners in that it is meant for use in the day time. Moon Burn is designed as a complimentary product to Fusion Burn, and is meant for use during the night.

It is during your sleep that you actually do the majority of your muscle repair.

It is also during sleep that human growth hormone levels spike, insulin levels bottom, and you really start burning through your body fat. 

Getting better sleep, and higher quality sleep with more time spent in the REM (rapid eye movement) stage, means better recovery, better muscular development, and lower body fat levels. 

It therefore makes sense for a supplement to try to amplify this period of your day for even greater fat loss.

What does Moon Burn claim to do specifically?

According to the bottle and the Amazon merchant page, BeLive Moon Burn provides the following key benefits:

  • Suppresses appetite while you sleep
  • Blocks carbs and fats

The first few of these benefits are standard stuff for this kind of product. All fat burners promise these things, yet very few actually deliver on them, so these are empty words at this point. 

But the final two are a little less common and somewhat worrying. 

First of all, you don’t really get hungry while you sleep. And even if you did, you wouldn’t notice. You’re asleep.

Secondly, we do not want a product which blocks the uptake of fat and carbohydrates. 

We repeat: WE DO NOT WANT TO BLOCK CARBS AND FAT.

Carbohydrate and fat consumption is not what makes you fat. Eating too many calories, eating refined sugars, and not getting any exercise is what makes you fat. You can eat plenty of carbs and fats and be incredibly lean and healthy. 

In fact, without carbs and fats, you will eventually become scrawny, weak, and pretty damn sick. Fats are necessary for the synthesis of hormones like testosterone, while carbs are absolutely necessary for making new muscle mass. 

But we won’t write BeLive Moon Burn off here. After all, we don’t know if this product is even able to do this yet!

This is a fairly simple, straightforward formula. We are given each ingredient’s individual serving size, and there are no major surprises in here. 

There are, however, some big problems with this formula.

Some ingredients are over-hyped substances; their fat burning credentials have not been verified by scientific study. 

The dosing of some key ingredients is also way off.

All-in-all, Moon Burn doesn’t look like a particularly potent fat burner.

With just 6 ingredients, we can easily go through each of the substances in Moon Burn one by, explaining how they are thought to work, why they are in this supplement, and outlining what we think of them.

 

Ingredients Overview

The main ingredient in Moon Burn is Garcinia Cambogia.

Supplement manufacturers and bodybuilding blogs fall over themselves with praise for garcinia cambogia. Many claim that it is the most powerful fat burner we have available to us. Others claim that it is an indispensable tool in the arsenal of today’s professional bodybuilders.

In our opinion, none of these things are true. 

There are no scientific studies showing that garcinia cambogia has any fat burning properties whatsoever. Some studies have found that GC can make food taste better, but this is not necessarily linked with appetite reduction.

It does not directly increase feelings of fullness, and it does not prevent food cravings.

Next we have 200mg of CLA powder.

CLA stands for conjugated linoleic acid. Taking this group of fatty acids is known to be a reliable and effective method for inducing fat loss. 

However, in order for you to derive any noticeable benefit from using CLA, then you need to be taking over 3g per day. Most CLA powder supplements you will find in bodybuilding stores will start doses at 3g.

Many studies looking at CLA have given subjects more than 3g per day.

The 200mg in Moon Burn is not going to do a great deal.

Next we come to 150mg of green tea extract.

Green tea extract is an absolutely superb natural fat burner. As well as providing a range of health-promoting polyphenols, green tea extract provides us with a catechin called EGCG.

Without getting too technical, we now know that EGCG dramatically accelerates your metabolism. Consuming sufficiently large quantities of EGCG on a daily basis has been shown in robust clinical trials to bring about significantly more weight loss than placebo. 

Yet the minimum effective dose of green tea for fat loss purposes seems to be 300mg. Users start to get excellent results at 400mg, and increased doses are linked to better results up to about 600mg. 

We only have 150mg of green tea extract in Moon Burn. This is nowhere near enough. You may not even register it working at 150mg per day.

White kidney bean extract keeps cropping up in fat loss supplement formulas today.

We have no idea why this is the case. As far as we know, white kidney bean extract does nothing to enhance fat loss, speed up metabolism, or boost performance in the gym. 

While some studies seem to show that white kidney bean extract is able to bring about fat loss, the results are always disappointing when you look beneath the surface. 

For example, this study is widely cited as proof that WKBE helps with fat loss. However, the researchers actually concluded: “Clinical trends were identified for weight loss and a decrease in triglycerides, although statistical significance was not reached.”

In any case, even if white kidney bean worked in this manner, we wouldn’t want to use it. Blocking carbs is a highway to flat muscles, muscle mass wastage, and generally low energy levels. The myth of the keto diet will be explored in a coming article, so check back soon!

L-Theanine is an easy ingredient to get your head around. 

Basically, we use theanine because it works together with caffeine, enhancing its good effects and dulling down its bad effects.

This is sometimes why we find theanine in fat burners which contain large amounts of caffeine.

Consuming equal amounts of theanine and caffeine can see you getting more of a lift in energy, motivation and stamina. It will also see you getting fewer side effects associated with caffeine, such as jitters, anxiety, heart palpitations, and so on. 

There’s no caffeine in Moon Burn, so it’s unusual to see caffeine in here. Yet we can still certainly benefit from it here. If you consume a lot of caffeine throughout the day, and if you use a pre-workout containing caffeine, then 150mg of theanine (as found in Moon Burn) could work well for you.

Melatonin is your “sleepy hormone”. 

It is the hormone which regulates your sleep and waking cycle. It dictates the times at which you start to get sleepy, as well as the times when you are most awake (when melatonin levels are lowest). 

Some people are skeptical as to whether supplementing with melatonin works or not. It seems that it may not be able to cross the blood/brain barrier (it is naturally secreted in the brain). 

However, it is widely used, and 5mg is normally cited as the upper dose limit. Above 5mg is thought to cause side effects. 

If you have trouble sleeping, then melatonin supplementation might be just what you need.

After doing a full review of BeLive Moon Burn, we don’t think we will be recommending this product to our readers. 

There are many highly positive, user-generated BeLIve Moon Burn reviews out there, but we think that these may have been influenced by the manufacturers in some way, and many will simply be influenced by the placebo effect.

All things considered, BeLive Moon Burn is a weak fat burner.

It may well help many users get to sleep easier, and indeed to enjoy deeper, more restful sleep.

Yet this is only due to the melatonin content. If it is melatonin that you think you will benefit from, then just buy a generic melatonin supplement. 

There is no need to pay premium prices if all you need is some melatonin. Generic melatonin supplements are available for very little money from many health food stores. 

There are few potent fat burners in here, and those that are present are drastically under-dosed. 

Some of the ingredients offer no benefits whatsoever; just hype and an inflated price tag. 

BeLive Moon Burn claims to be a “night time” fat burner. It claims to boost fat burning hormone production at night, while helping with fat loss through several other mechanisms. 

In reality, it seems totally unable to deliver on these promises. The only benefit it can probably deliver on is helping you sleep. But if that is all you need, then you can save yourself a lot of money and buy a melatonin supplement from a health food store.
