Full Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit Review
Optimum Nutrition requires no introduction. It probably isn’t too much of a stretch to say that they are the most popular bodybuilding supplement brand in the world. Certainly by sales, anyway. Their products are absolutely everywhere – in every supplement store, in every big supermarket, in every town, wherever you go.
Their plain branding is instantly recognizable, and many people even think of their supplements as the “default” or “baseline” options. Their whey protein supplements are just the go-to for many people – it is ON that they branch out from when they want to try something new.
So what is Daily Fit?
What is it designed to do?
Daily Fit is described on the Optimum Nutrition website as a “metabolism support” supplement. It is also described as a “stimulant-free fat burner”.
As you can see on the bottle, this product also claims to work as a thermogenic.
Daily Fit users are told that they can expect the following core benefits:
- Enhanced fat loss outside of the gym
- Help keeping your metabolism going
- Accelerated fat loss in the gym
- No energy crashes, jitters, or side effects
That’s a solid list of benefits.
We’re often skeptical of “metabolism support” supplements, simply because they very rarely work. But Optimum Nutrition have a glowing reputation, and they aren’t known for making outlandish statements.
They tend to back up their claims, so we’re pretty excited about this fat burner.
The question is, does it really work?
How safe is Daily Fit?
How does it measure up to the most powerful, effective, potent fat burners out at the moment? How does it compare to the top caffeine-free fat burners?
Find out by reading our full Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit review below. As always, we leave no stone un-turned, examining every ingredient, their serving sizes, and seeing if they are 100% backed by the latest scientific studies. We take a look at the main side effect risks too, so you know what to expect. If you have any questions, just post them in the comments – we’ll try to get back to you within 2 days.
Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit Formula
Let’s get into it. Here is the ingredients list as it appears on the label:
We’ve seen much worse formulas than this, and we’ve seen much better.
There are some good ingredients in here that will help you lose fat faster than you would otherwise.
They can help keep you energized in the gym despite being on fewer calories each day (if you’re not dieting, then you don’t need fat burners yet).
But it is missing key ingredients that can really supercharge your next cut.
We think there are much better fat burners available right now, but there’s no reason to avoid Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit if you wan tot try it.
What We Like
There are some great ingredients in Daily Fit which will help anybody lose more body fat in a shorter space of time.
Take Green Tea Extract, for example.
Green Tea Extract is an extremely powerful, reliable, and effective fat burning agent. It contains a compound called EGCG. This stuff has been shown in numerous clinical trials to rapidly accelerate fat loss.
The most exciting thing about Green Tea Extract in our opinion is the fact that it seems to enhance fat loss independently of exercise. Most natural fat burners work by giving you extra energy in the gym, or by increasing caloric expenditure during exercise. A handful effectively reduce appetite, but they are much more rare.
This enormous meta-analysis speaks for itself. Here, researchers investigated whether there was anything to the claim that green tea keeps you slim. They concluded: “Catechins or an epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)-caffeine mixture have a small positive effect on [weight loss] and [weight maintenance].”
Green Tea Extract is an absolute staple in fat burners. So it should be.
The only caveat here is the dose. Many of the best fat burners on the market today provide well over 300mg. Some provide 500mg, even 700mg just to be on the safe side.
Since it is so safe and well tolerated, not to mention relatively cheap, it seems stupid to low dose it.
But it is still here, and 200mg will probably still have a small influence on fat loss.
What We Don’t Like
The real problem with Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit is the lack of any real firepower.
The serving sizes are smaller than we expect from premium fat burners – especially one from such a popular brand.
As mentioned above, the Green Tea Extract is under-dosed. It is not unusual for fat burners to contain as much as 500mg of high quality green tea extract. The 200mg we get from this product is not going to have the same kind of impact on your body.
The same is true of the Capsimax Red Pepper Extract. We get 65mg in every serving of Daily Fit. But you will very rarely find less than 100mg in a serious fat loss supplement. It should be obvious that 65mg isn’t going to hit you as hard as 100mg will, and that will translate into less fat lost through thermogenesis. Like Green Tea Extract, pepper extract is easy to come by and it is well tolerated at reasonable doses. Why under-dose such a basic ingredient?!
These are really standard ingredients.
They form the backbone of most modern fat burners.
It is rare to see such a simple, minimalist stack skimping on them.
Rare and disappointing.
The formula is just lacking both the nuance and the punch we get from other, similarly priced products on the market today.
There isn’t any appetite suppressing component at all. There’s no chromium either. We know it is billed as a stimulant-free fat burner, that’s its USP, but it could seriously do with some caffeine to give it a kick.
Not great from a usually fantastic manufacturer.

Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit Side Effects
One very good thing about Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit is the fact that it is highly unlikely to cause many of you any side effects.
None of the ingredients in this supplement are known to regularly cause side effects of any kind.
Of course some users do experience mild side effects, but these are very rare and isolated cases – they are due to individual allergies, intolerance, and unique medical histories rather than the substances themselves.
We think most users should experience no adverse effects from this fat burner.
Of course, it is important to remember that every individual is different. Just because this stack looks safe for 99% of users doesn’t mean it is safe for you.
And just because WE think it’s safe doesn’t mean it is 100% definitely safe.
We aren’t doctors, and this isn’t medical advice.
Always remember when reading our reviews:
- This isn’t medical advice
- We aren’t qualified doctors
- We don’t know you or your medical history
- This is merely our opinion
It is absolutely VITAL that you do your own research and consult with a qualified physician before using fat burners – any of them. They are specialist sports supplements and they can be dangerous. They aren’t a quick fix for obesity either. They are meant for serious athletes who need extra help cutting down. Get medical advice before you play with them.
Optimum Nutrition Daily Fit Review Conclusion – Far From The Best
We strongly recommend that you go back and read our full Daily Fit review before you decide if this is the right fat burner for you.
It has some fairly substantial limitations.
There’s no glaring red flags or anything, but it doesn’t look like a particularly powerful product either.
We think there are lots of very similar products that will get you much better results.
The best ingredients are low dosed. The product just lacks the firepower you get from other fat burners today. Some users will benefit from it, no doubt, but results will always be limited compared to the market leaders.
