NatureWise Thermo Blend Review
If you’re looking for a full and comprehensive Thermo Blend review, then you really are spoiled for choice online. This fat burner has attracted the attention of many review sites, largely due to its popularity on Amazon.
So what is Thermo Blend?
Thermo Blend is sold as a premium grade supplement designed to help you lose fat in as short a time as possible while boosting your energy levels.
The front of the box clearly claims that Thermo Blend burns fat, increases metabolism, and boosts energy “without added caffeine”.
This is really important for many fat burner users; a lot of great products on the market contain large amounts of caffeine and other natural stimulants, yet some people react quite badly to these stimulants. It’s therefore really important for these people to find fat burners that contain no such ingredients.
Thermo Blend’s manufacturers also avoid many of the morally questionable claims that some manufacturers make of their product:
This is what we like to see!
Too many manufacturers make ridiculous claims about their products. Many will tell you that a few pills will give you the conditioning of Arnold Schwarzenegger, or let you eat nothing but gain slabs of muscle.
Of course, we know that such things are simply not possible.
So it’s great to see a manufacturer being upfront about that and letting us know exactly what their product can do, and what it can’t do.
But enough of the general stuff. You came here looking for a Thermo Blend review. We’re going to try and give you as much up-to-date information as we can about this apparently very popular fat burner.
As with all of our reviews, let’s start with an analysis of Thermo Blend’s ingredients.
Thermo Blend Ingredients
Any Thermo Blend review needs to focus on the product’s actual formula.
Here is a shot of the Thermo Blend box, showing its full ingredient list and dosages:
One thing jumps right out at us when we look at this ingredient list: guarana seed!
The manufacturers may well mean “no caffeine apart from what is contained in our ingredients”, but by that logic, honey boosts energy “without sugar”, because the sugar is found naturally in the honey.
To us, that seems to be purposefully misleading.
But we can’t linger on that one minor hiccup.
As always, we’re very happy to see that we’re given reliable dosage information right there on the box. Some supplement manufacturers do not reveal their dosages at all, and some rip-off products don’t make this information available to you until you’ve already parted with some of your hard-earned cash.
And as you can see, Thermo Blend does only contain natural ingredients.
You may have heard of many of these substances before. But what do they do exactly?
What Do Thermo Blend’s Ingredients Do?
Thermo Blend seems quite a straightforward formulation. It contains 9 ingredients, and few surprises:
- Green tea extract
- Bitter orange extract
- Guarana seed
- Rhodiola rosea
- Eleuthero root
We have already dealt with the Guarana seed concundrum above, so let’s focus on the other ingredients in Thermo Blend, starting with the most interesting.
Green tea extract is known to help maintain focus and concentration, which can certainly help if you’re trying to get through 90 minute workouts on a relatively empty stomach.
It is also known to have a direct bearing on fat loss. This is because it contains a compound called EGCG.
ECGC is a catechin that has been observed in numerous reputable clinical trials to stimulate lipolysis (fat burning!).
This widely circulated study, from the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, found that “EGCG alone has the potential to increase fat oxidation in men and may thereby contribute to the anti-obesity effects of green tea.”
Several studies have shown that ECGC is able to not only increase the rate at which test subject lost body fat, but it also seemed to affect the overall amount of weight lost.
Another interesting ingredient is the Eleuthero root.
Eleuthero root is usually known by its other name; Siberian Ginseng. Eleuthero root is thought to have some very intriguing properties. Namely, it’s ability to alter metabolism and its ability to combat the perception of physical fatigue (ref).
According to one reliable reference site, it is also thought to have immunity-boosting and focus-enhancing properties.
This is a good ingredient for a professional fat stripper. Most visitors to our site will be serious athletes. You don’t just diet; you diet and train even harder than ever if you’re approaching a contest, a fight, or even just a PB attempt.
So having something that can help speed up your metabolism and keep you going in the gym can be the difference between winning or losing.
However, other than the green tea extract and the Eleuthero root, we can’t find a lot to really get excited about in this formula.
To be fair, there is a sizable amount of green tea extract. Yet that should not really motivate you to part ways with your cash, since you could just start drinking more green tea!
Other ingredient do have properties that can help you, but there is nothing that makes this product stand out from the crowd:
- Bitter orange extract is probably referring to synephrine; its main component. Trials have fund that it may boost metabolism and fat loss in a similar way to ephedrine (a substance now banned in the US). However, it seems to only have a mild effect on fat oxidation and metabolic rate, and researchers in one study concluded that more research is needed before this ingredient is deemed entirely safe!
- Cayenne pepper extract works exactly how you think it will; it literally makes you hotter from the inside out, thereby increasing the metabolic demand placed on your body, and thereby increasing your resting caloric expenditure. Sound like pseudo-science mumbo-jumbo? Basically, it makes you sweat so your body works hard to keep you cool. Yet with just 50mg, Thermo Blend probably isn’t providing the same punch you’ll get from other fat burners…
- It is well-known that rhodiola rosea can help keep you calm and focused during times of stress. However, the gym for most of us is hardly a stressful place. It therefore seems a strange thing to include in a fat burner…
- L-Carnitine is a pretty awesome supplement for a number of reasons, but to really justify a position in a professional-quality fat burner, it needs to be dosed well above the 50mg found in Thermo Blend. Its ability to help reduce fat mass and promote lean muscle mass has been well established, but usually when subjects are given >500mg of the stuff! It is also able to reduce mental fatigue, but again, when dosages are in the region of 500mg…
Other than that, Thermo Blend’s formula seems a little bit impotent as far as fat burning goes.
We have no idea really why cocoa is in this formula.
It would have been much better for NatureWise’s customers if they had used that space to include another 50mg of carnitine.
Or, they could have ditched cocoa and rhodiola and included a decent serving of a different, more potent ingredient, like glucomannan or chromium.
Thermo Blend Customer Reviews
Like almost all products these days, Thermo Blend has hundreds of positive reviews on Amazon.
However, if you delve deeper into these reviews, you see many people accusing the manufacturer of swapping free products for favourable reviews.
We never know what to make of this kind of talk, as it would be easier for NatureWise’s competitors to rubbish them on Amazon.
Instead, it’s best to look at a range of reviews and to make up your own mind on Thermo Blend.
Here’s a selection of Thermo Blend customer reviews:
There are plenty more reviews to browse through on Amazon, but none of them will really tell you much more than these two.
This is often the way with Amazon reviews, and while we can’t learn as much as we can from an in-depth, professional Thermo Blend review, we can see how many people have been left severely disappointed with the product.
Thermo Blend Side Effects
The only thing that concerns us here is the “without caffeine” slapped on the front of the box, because it simply isn’t true.
Thermo blend does contain caffeine; it is just found within one of the listed ingredients – Guarana seed.
This could be problematic for any customers who do not realise this, and who may then take a separate supplement which is high in caffeine alongside Thermo Blend.
This is easy to imagine; most pre-workouts contain caffeine. A few scoops of a serious pre-workout and an extra, unexpected surge of caffeine from Guarana seed, and anyone mildly sensitive to this stimulant might feel unwell.
Should I Buy Thermo Blend?
After conducting a full review of NatureWise Thermo Blend, we think that Thermo Blend falls a little short of what it promises its customers.
It offers a few really good ingredients for athletes looking for a safe and natural way to lose fat while retaining muscle mass, but overall it seems a little blunt for what most of you will be looking for.
There are products on the market today that represent much better value for money, and probably significantly better results.
Most importantly for us, the “without caffeine” claim on the box is enormously misleading. Some customers won’t realise that the guarana seed listed on the back is very high in caffeine. They might therefore find themselves on the receiving end of some nasty side effects if they take a separate caffeine supplement concurrently with Thermo Blend.
