Full XyLean Review
XyLean is a brand new natural fat burner by Lexona. These guys are not a major supplement manufacturing outfit. As it stands, XyLean is Lexona’s only product. Their official website only has a couple of pages on it, and three separate merchant pages for different XyLean packages. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good fat burner. Lexona may well bring out more products in the future.
So what is XyLean supposed to do?
Who is it designed to help?
According to the Lexona Labs official website, XyLean delivers the following core benefits:
- Accelerated fat loss
- Appetite suppression
- Increased energy
- Carbohydrate blocking
- Reduced water retention
The first three benefits are excellent – they’re exactly the things that we want to get from a premium quality fat burner.
But the last two claims are not things we would want at all.
For starters, there’s no reason why you would want to block carbohydrates.
Despite what you might read from some health blogs or quack magazines, carbohydrates DO NOT MAKE YOU FAT. Excess calories make you fat. Simple as that.
Yes, some foods are worse for you than others.
Of course you won’t get an incredible body eating nothing but donuts and drinking nothing but Pepsi.
But carbohydrates, in and of themselves, are a vital part of a healthy diet. If you’re an athletes, you NEED carbs – both to fuel workouts and to build muscle.
We also think you should stay away from any supplements that flush water out of your body.
Supplements that ‘dry you out’ are not things the average person on the street should be playing around with.
We actually don’t think even pro bodybuilders should be using anti-water retention supplements, but they generally don’t care at all about health consequences.
But right now, this is all academic. Maybe Lexona XyLean doesn’t even do either of these things!
So does it work?
Is it safe?
How does XyLean compare to the best fat burners around today?

In the end, we’ll tell you whether or not we’d recommend this stack to anybody looking for help during their next cutting phase. XyLean Ingredients
Let’s check out the XyLean formula and see if it backs up the claims made by Lexona Labs:
That does not look like a fat burner we would buy.
There are just so many things wrong here that we don’t know where to begin!
Not a great formula by any measure.
We can tell you right now that, if you’re looking for a reliable, safe way to speed up your fat loss, then you should look elsewhere!
Main Issue – Proprietary Blend
There is no good reason for a manufacturer to hide the individual ingredient serving sizes.
Proprietary blends are a way to rip you off 99% of the time.
The other 1% of the time, the manufacturer is just plain stupid.
Either way, we want no part of it.
Prop blends just don’t make any sense when you stop to think about them.
Manufacturers often claim that they need to use proprietary blends to protect their formula from copy-cats. But in all our years of using these sorts of supplements, we’ve never come across any instance of formula theft. It just doesn’t happen.
And look at all the stacks that DO show their formulas in full on the label.
The most successful, popular bodybuilding supplements almost ALL display each ingredient serving size on the website for everybody to see.
They make millions of dollars every year.
Nobody steals their formulas.
So clearly, we have two alternative scenarios here: the manufacturers are either using them to hide the truth about their terrible formula from potential customers, or they’re too frightened of thieves to compete in the modern market.
Either way, we’ll pass.
Major Issue – Dud Ingredients
Proprietary blends are bad enough as they are – they represent a fundamentally poor product.
They offer little value for money.
They cause uncertainty about side effects.
They’re just awful.
But when they contain dud ingredients that do nothing for your fat loss, they’re even worse!
Sadly, that’s exactly what we get here: useless, dud, over-hyped ingredients.
A prime example here is White Kidney Bean Extract.
White Kidney Beans seem to be an extremely “in” food at the moment. There are hundreds of blogs out there all claiming that this humble bean helps with fat loss.
The main mechanism by which they say it works is by inhibiting carbohydrate absorption.
Now, for starters, there’s no real reason why you would want to do this.
If you’re interested in optimizing your performance in the gym, or keeping hold of as much muscle mass as possible, then you NEED to be consuming carbohydrates.
Despite what some quacks have told you, carbs do not make you fat! A lack of exercise, excess calories, and in some cases, genetics make you fat.
But even IF WE DID want to block carb absorption, which we don’t, we;re sorry to say that white kidney beans DON’T WORK IN THAT WAY!
Some studies have shown that white kidney bean consumption has led to increased fat loss in some individuals.
But if you look at this trial, you’ll see that in most cases, it is highly likely that this weight loss has been due to the increased amount of starch excretion and the greater satiety that comes with diets rich in beans.
Beans help you lose weight, but only because eating them fills you full of fiber, minerals, and vitamins, meaning you don’t need to eat as much food from other meals!

XyLean Side Effects – Is It Safe?
The answer to that question is a resounding “NO”!
As far as we’re concerned, XyLean is not a safe fat burner.
It contains an unknown, potentially enormous amount of caffeine.
For all we know, there could be over 700mg of caffeine anhydrous in here.
That would be an INSANE amount of caffeine – the equivalent of about 7 large black coffees in a single capsule!
There could just as easily be 1mg of caffeine anhydrous in here – such is the nature of proprietary blends.
But as we don’t know, we’re compelled as responsible reviewers to consider all possibilities. And there could feasibly be 700mg of caffeine anhydrous here.
So much caffeine could actually be fatal.
At the very least, consuming caffeine above about 150mg per serving is almost certain to produce the following side effects:
- Jitters
- Sweating
- Hypertension
- Dizziness
- Anxiety
- Irritability
- Loss of focus
- Sudden energy crash
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Stomach cramps
- Diarrhea
The severity of these side effects depends on dose. You see the predicament we’re in here!
Of course, dealing with proprietary blends means that we are inherently guessing here.
But that is a major problem – when it comes to our safety, we don’t want to be guessing! We would much rather have the manufacturer tell us exactly how much caffeine we’re getting. Then we wouldn’t need to guess, and we’d know if it was safe for us to use or not.
In good conscience, we can’t recommend this product to ANYBODY, regardless of how high you think your caffeine tolerance is – a potential for 700mg is just too much to risk.
Please remember when reading these reviews: We think you should seek medical advice before using ANY fat burners. These products are not a quick cure for obesity – they are specialist bodybuilding and athletic supplements designed for serious competitive athletes who are in good shape and know what they’re doing!Caution
Conclusion – Is XyLean Any Good?
We can’t recommend this fat burner to anyone.
Not only is it a terrible formula full of dud, useless ingredients. It also contains a potentially huge dose of caffeine.
Proprietary blends should be avoided at the best of times.
A prop blend posing such potential risks should be kept well away from under all circumstances.
