It’s no wonder this stuff is so popular when you look at what EVL Nutrition claims it supports:

Those are exactly the things we look for in a good fat burner. Many supplements do one or two of those things, but very few do all of them well.

Garcinia Cambogia Extract

EVL Nutrition LeanMode Review IngredientsThis stuff is doing the rounds at the minute as the new miracle weight loss supplement. It is thought that the Hydroxycitric acid in Garcinia Cambogia helps with weight loss. 

You should always be skeptical of products that come bursting on to the market claiming to be a new wonder substance, and Garcinia Cambogia is no different. 

It is heralded as a weight loss supplement because it seems to increase satiety (the feeling of fullness) after a meal. However, this study found that it has no discernible effect on the feeling of satiety in humans. 

Maybe it has another property that helps it burn body fat?

Unfortunately I haven’t seen any evidence for it being effective at reducing fat or increasing caloric expenditure at all. 

One study tested Garcinia Cambogia as an anti-obestiy agent. The researchers found that “Garcinia cambogia failed to produce significant weight loss and fat mass loss beyond that observed with placebo.”

All in all, this doesn’t seem to be the most reliable fat burner or appetite suppressor around.


Green Coffee Bean Extract

We go into much more detail in the guide, so I will just say here that green coffee bean extract is a superb ingredient. It should be in every serious fat burner and weight loss supplement. 

The 500mg found in LeanMode is a huge dose, providing more than enough chlorogenic acid; the stuff that actually does most of the work when it comes to burning body fat. 



Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is a go-to supplement for many bodybuilders because of its supposed ability to burn fat without making you lose muscle mass as well. Of course, when you cut you will invariably lose some muscle mass. But maximising fat loss and minimising muscle loss is what the game is all about. 

Supplement companies suggest that CLA works by acting on certain receptors that influence gene expression. To put it simply, CLA is thought to help with fat loss by making your cells metabolise fat more efficiently. 

However, clinical trials have produced some pretty contradictory results.

Some trials have found CLA to have a big impact on fat metabolism, but a lot of the more impressive ones were conducted on rats. Many more studies have found CLA to be much less effective. 

This study found that CLA had no role “in either body weight or blood lipid regulation in humans”. 

Crucially, even when CLA has been observed to have an effect on body fat, the studies have concluded that a minimum of 3.4g per day is required before any effect will be observed (ref).

LeanMode only contains 500mg..one sixth of the minimum recommended dose for maximizing fat loss!


Green Tea Leaf Extract

To put it simply, this stuff should be a staple of every fat burner on the market. It’s safe, well-tolerated, devastatingly effective, and should not add significantly to the cost of a supplement. 

There’s really no excuse for this stuff to not be found in abundance. 



Usually shortened to ALCAR, this stuff is fairly common in supplements these days, whether they’re for fat loss, muscle building, concentration, focus, mood, better sleep, or general health. This is because L-Carnitine is directly involved in energy metabolism, and it is known to protect mitochondria (your cellular “engines”) from damage. 

However, studies involving healthy people have not revealed any relationship between Carnitine supplementation and fat oxidation. 

It might be that Carnitine deficiency causes poor fat metabolism, rather than Carnitine itself improving it if you are already getting enough from your diet. 

ALCAR can, however, help improve focus, as well as reducing the perception of fatigue. It can therefore be quite valuable in a fat burner for its ability to help you get through gym sessions when you would otherwise be feeling weak and hungry. That said, there are more effective substances for achieving this, like caffeine anhydrous.

Will This Formula Work For Me?

LeanMode’s ingredients are all widely used supplements in their own right.

The LeanMode formula does not contain any fillers, nasty surprises, or dangerous substances. 

Some of LeanMode’s ingredients, namely green coffee bean extract and green tea extract, have some really impressive fat burning properties. In fat, we think that the creators have got the doses of these two superb ingredients just right. 

Some, such as Garcinia Cambogia, seem to be less reliable when it comes to boosting fat loss. 

Others, such as CLA, seem to have some clear benefits for athletes looking to lose fat, but most people take far more CLA than is found in LeanMode in order to get the desired results. 

So, all things considered, will this supplement work for you? 

If you’re looking to shed body fat in a hurry, and to do so while keeping hold of as much muscle mass as possible, I don’t think LeanMode would be a bad decision, but I also don’t think it would be the best decision. Not by a long shot.

The best place to purchase LeanMode from would probably be the Bodybuilding.com online store. This is a very reputable marketplace, and by all accounts their customer service is superb. 

Of course, you can always get this stuff direct from the manufacturer, although the price is likely to be higher, or you could get it from Amazon. 

However you choose to buy this product, make sure you buy from a trusted seller!

Side Effects

Since it’s made from all-natural ingredients, and since it is manufactured by such a trusted, well-respected company, it’s safe to say that Evlution LeanMode shouldn’t cause any side effects for the vast majority of users. 

Of course, everyone is different, and many of the ingredients in Evlution LeanMode are not found in large amounts in your natural diet. 

It’s really important that you review the label carefully, and check with your doctor if you’re unsure about how you might react to any of the ingredients. 

It’s always important to consult with your regular family physician before using a supplement which contains unusual ingredients, stimulants, and other substances that you may be allergic to or have an intolerance for.

LeanMode Review Conclusion – Should I Buy It?

LeanMode from Evlution Nutrition looks like a fairly good supplement on the whole. 

It is made of all-natural, well-tested, well-tolerated ingredients, many of which have been shown to be hugely effective at helping people lose fat mass.

Lots of people, like the guys over at LIVE Magazine, think that Leanmode is a fairly decent fat burner, although not an amazing one. 

Most importantly, some of these ingredients have been shown to be key in helping people retain muscle mass while they shed fat. 

However, there are several problems with the formula that make this supplement less than ideal. 

For one thing, we’re not convinced that Garcinia Cambogia is the “fat burner” it is cracked up to be. It is marketed as an appetite suppressant, but after doing a little research, I can’t see how it does this other than by making your current meal taste nicer. 

Some of the other ingredients, namely CLA, are also fairly under-dosed. 

Personally, I always like to see supplements that use the smallest possible dose necessary to get the job done, but there needs to be enough for it to be worth your while. 

This is a solid fat burner, and it will work to some degree for many of you. But in our opinion, much better supplements are available.
